The MHA Blog
On a picture-perfect day for November, with the temperature almost 50 degrees at the start of the race, 7,155 paid participants took to the streets of Elmhurst.
It was a fun, family event with a little entertainment, as well. The Men of Spirito managed to sing above a freight train and their Anthem Medley was beautiful. Jim Cornelison provided his great rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner as we brought the Lima Lima Flight Team to the Start Line.
Many thanks to the City of Elmhurst, the Police Department, Fire Department, Mobile Incident Command Unit, Streets and Sanitation, Elmhurst University Security and the DuPage County Sheriff Department.
Special thanks to the 250 volunteers that worked on Packet Pick-Up & Registration weekend and the day of the race, Thanksgiving Day.
We hope you, your family and friends had a safe and enjoyable holiday and we look forward to next year…our 40th…wow!
We will have checks distributed to our beneficiaries by December 14th at the latest.
No one should go to bed hungry…thank you for your support!
